When I was a young girl growing up in Saudi Arabia, my father was always the one behind the lens; shooting photos for every birthday and life event and writing the date and location on the back of the Kodak developed photos. He went through a lot of cameras but the most memorable one was an old Nikon that used black and white film. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with black and white photography and use my iPhone (and Hipstamatic) to recreate that nostalgic feeling of seeing the world and life through my father’s eyes.
